About the role

Friendtown Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!

Responsibilities

- Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs. - Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication. - Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity. - Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarians' orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Requirements

- 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting. - Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Ohio. - Proficiency in the following skills: - Surgery and anesthesia knowledge - Dentistry - Radiographs, technique and positioning - Venipuncture and Injectable medication administration - Inpatient care

Qualifications

- Full-time position, with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday, evening and weekend rotations are required. On Call also $25 to $75 additional per shift if called in.

Pay

Friendtown Veterinary Clinic is located in the charming community of Tipp City, 12 miles north of Dayton and close to Columbus and Cincinnati. We are a small animal general practice with a fun-loving team and great longevity. Our support team is primarily cross-trained and our technician team is fully utilized (especially our RVTs!). Our clinic itself is located on 20 acres, about 5 miles from downtown and we welcome a diverse client base. Our primary services include reproduction, c-sections, soft tissue surgery, and general wellness, however, we also provide dentistry, cruciate repairs, breeding services, progesterone testing, and more.
