Registered Veterinary Technician

About the role

VCA Seaside Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join their team. Located in Calabash, NC, they are a 1-doctor full-service veterinary hospital open 5 days a week offering primary care, illness care, surgery, and dentistry. The hospital fosters an atmosphere of mutual respect and recognition, encouraging teamwork and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Physical examinations, patient assessment, and recovery
• Procedural anesthesia and monitoring
• I.V. fluid administration and C.R.I. calculations
• Hands-free radiology and diagnostic imaging
• Client communications and discharge

Requirements

Candidates must be positive and motivated. The hospital team meets frequently, and your ideas and suggestions are encouraged to help the hospital continue to grow. Must be a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or technician in training.

Qualifications

Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and other members of the healthcare team. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay

$20 - $22 / hr is based on skill set, experience, and licensure status

Schedule

Full time, weekend rotation required
