About the role
We are currently seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician skilled in exam room intake, triage, emergency and inpatient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency care procedures
- Assist with diagnostic tests and treatments
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Document patient care and treatment in medical records
- Collaborate with veterinarians and other healthcare providers
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing inventory
Requirements
- Must be a certified veterinary technician in the state of Colorado
- At least 3 years of clinical veterinary hospital experience required
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Able to adapt to new situations and multitask
- Able to act as a team player
- Basic veterinary medical terminology required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Veterinary Technician from a recognized program
- Valid Colorado State license as a Veterinary Technician
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Knowledge of pharmacology and medication administration
- Ability to handle stressful situations and emergencies
