Registered Veterinary Technician - Arrowhead Animal Hospital

About the role

We are currently seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician skilled in exam room intake, triage, emergency and inpatient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency care procedures
• Assist with diagnostic tests and treatments
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Document patient care and treatment in medical records
• Collaborate with veterinarians and other healthcare providers
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing inventory

Requirements

• Must be a certified veterinary technician in the state of Colorado
• At least 3 years of clinical veterinary hospital experience required
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Able to adapt to new situations and multitask
• Able to act as a team player
• Basic veterinary medical terminology required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as a Veterinary Technician from a recognized program
• Valid Colorado State license as a Veterinary Technician

Skills

• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
• Knowledge of pharmacology and medication administration
• Ability to handle stressful situations and emergencies
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
