About the role
Elliot Sleep Lab is located at the Homewood Suites Hotel in Manchester, NH. We have a secure wing with controlled access for patients and staff. The Sleep Lab is open 7 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Performs sleep studies as per order of physicians.
- Scores sleep stages, sleep apnea, hypopnea, nocturnal myoclonus and recognizes certain EEG and EKG abnormalities and artifacts.
- Applies and adjusts PAP according to procedure manual.
- Responds appropriately to medical emergencies that may arise during sleep studies.
- Calibrates and maintains all equipment necessary for sleep monitoring.
- Develops and continues to improve communication with all physicians involved in ordering or interpreting tests.
- Interviews patient and documents pertinent data for sleep study report.
- Maintains accurate record of sleep studies and results according to AASM standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of sleep lab experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.
- Registered Sleep Technologists: Must be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or passed BRPT registry exam by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, CRT or RRT.
- Non-Registered Sleep Technologists: Must have completed the A-Step Online Self-Guided Modules OR Completed Registered Polysomnographic Technician training from an accreditation for Respiratory Care program (CoARC) with ability to pass the certification exam within one year of hire.
Qualifications
