About the Role

Provides respiratory care by applying critical thinking skills as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), demonstrating competence through NBRC examinations. Responsible for assessing patients, developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans, administering medications, and delivering health education to patients and families. Acts as a clinical resource and provides leadership within the care team, supporting continuous learning and quality improvement initiatives. Completes assigned goals and contributes to enhancing healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and provide health education to patients and families.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and provide leadership within the care team.
  • Support continuous learning and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Complete assigned goals to enhance healthcare delivery.

Requirements

  • Recent clinical respiratory care experience in hospital, home care, or skilled nursing settings.
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Successful completion of hospital and departmental orientation.
  • Basic computer skills with Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; Mississippi license required.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
