Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
About the Role
The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), III functions under the clinical supervision of the Medical Director of Respiratory Care and the overall supervision of the Manager, Assistant Manager, and Respiratory Care Supervisor. The role involves providing, responding to, and documenting respiratory care and services in a safe, expedient, and cost-effective manner. The RCP III participates in the Clinical Ladder program, a voluntary promotion system recognizing advanced knowledge, critical thinking skills, and professional development.
Requirements
- American Heart Association BLS Certification (required)
- Associate Degree or higher in an approved CoARC program for Respiratory Care
- Active licensure with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (maintained yearly)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (required)
- American Heart Association ACLS certification (required)
- If working in the Children's hospital:
- AHA PALS and NRP (in place of ACLS)
- Completion of the NBRC NPS exam within 12 months of orientation end date
- For non-medical center Respiratory Care departments:
- AHA BLS and ACLS (required)
- AHA PALS and NRP (required within 6 months of hire date)
Accepting applications for all levels of experience (New Grads to 25+ years).
Schedule
- Full-time (36 hours per week)
- 3 - 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Rotating weekends and holidays
