Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
About the Role
The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), III functions in a safe, expedient, and cost-effective manner in providing, responding to patient needs, and documenting respiratory care and services. This role is involved in the Clinical Ladder program, a voluntary promotion system recognizing healthcare professionals who demonstrate advanced knowledge, critical thinking skills, and professional development.
Requirements
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Associate Degree or higher in an approved CoARC program for Respiratory Care
- Active licensure with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (maintained yearly)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- American Heart Association ACLS (or AHA PALS and NRP for Children’s Hospital roles)
- For Children’s Hospital roles: NBRC NPS exam completion within 12 months of orientation
- For non-medical center departments: AHA PALS and NRP required within 6 months of hire
Pay
- New Grad pay begins at $32.50 per hour
- Competitive shift differentials available
- $30K commitment bonus
Schedule
- Night Shift: 7p–7a
- 3–12-hour shifts per week
- No on-call required
- Rotating weekends
