About the role
Initiate and administer respiratory therapy modalities in accordance with established policies and protocols, ensuring safe and quality care for patients of all ages with cardiopulmonary dysfunction or for preventive purposes.
Responsibilities
- Manage ventilator care
- Perform chest physical therapy
- Conduct clinical diagnostic and pulmonary function tests
- Assess patient responses to therapy
- Maintain accurate patient and departmental records
- Monitor and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
- Perform related tasks as needed
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience (preferred)
- Licensure/certification as a CRT or RRT
- Current state licensure
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Additional certifications obtained within one year of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in neonatal and pediatric care
