Registered Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapy

13-week contract position at BIDMC in Boston, MA. Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly (36 hours/week), excluding on-call time. Rotating or all-night shifts with every third weekend worked. Orientation is weekly (every Monday, barring holidays).

About the Role

• NICU RRT position; pediatric experience considered but NICU experience required.
• NRP certification mandatory.
• Delivery room experience preferred.
• Level 2 and 3 NICU/Special Care Nursery in a birthing hospital.
• No local travelers accepted (must reside 50+ miles from facility).
• Start date: ASAP (4 weeks out for compliance).
• Must be separated from facility for six months if previously worked there as perm or per diem.

Responsibilities

• Performs and interprets tests and procedures to assess and manage patient care in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
• Works autonomously in various clinical settings, including administration of respiratory care protocols.
• Certified to manage artificial airways, mechanical ventilation, administer aerosolized medications, and provide oxygen therapy.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• CPR-AHA and NRP certification required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of related work experience.
• Availability for interviews must be provided at time of submission.
• All requested time off must be presented at time of submission.
