About the role

Location: Fort Wayne, IN, 415 E, Cook Rd. The Pediatric Pulmonary Respiratory Therapist will provide pulmonary function testing (PFT) services, respiratory education, and airway clearance support for patients served through the Pediatric Pulmonary Clinic and Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary function testing, including spirometry and other diagnostic procedures, for pediatric patients.
• Provide respiratory education to patients and families regarding pulmonary conditions, medications, equipment, and treatment plans.
• Serve as an Airway Clearance Specialist within the Cystic Fibrosis Center and pulmonary clinic.
• Must be willing and able to travel to South Bend twice per month to support Cystic Fibrosis Clinic operations.

Requirements

• Requires current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana.
• Requires graduation from a CoARC (Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) and regionally accredited respiratory care program.
• Requires that the N.B.R.C. (National Board for Respiratory Care) registry exam be passed within 6 months of hire date.
