About the Role
A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders to improve outcomes and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced airway care, ventilator management, and monitor high-frequency ventilators.
- Assist physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopy, intubation, extubation, and delivery of surfactant in NICU.
- Initiate and monitor therapies including Nitric Oxide delivery and IV conscious sedation.
- Support department-specific functions and optional procedures like transport and backup therapy.
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in continuous education and skill development.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) and Respiratory Care Practitioner-NM.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Preferred critical care experience of six months to one year.

Schedule
