About the Role

A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders to improve outcomes and quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced airway care, ventilator management, and monitor high-frequency ventilators.
  • Assist physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopy, intubation, extubation, and delivery of surfactant in NICU.
  • Initiate and monitor therapies including Nitric Oxide delivery and IV conscious sedation.
  • Support department-specific functions and optional procedures like transport and backup therapy.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and participate in continuous education and skill development.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) and Respiratory Care Practitioner-NM.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Preferred critical care experience of six months to one year.

Schedule
