Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pulmonary

About the Role

Provides cardiopulmonary diagnostic and respiratory therapeutic support for hospital and outpatient patients requiring testing, treatment, or ventilatory assistance, under the supervision of the Respiratory Medical Director.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing and administer respiratory treatments.
  • Manage ventilatory support for patients as needed.
  • Utilize electronic charting systems and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Obtain and maintain required licensure and certifications.
  • Complete necessary certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS) within specified timeframes.
  • Provide high-quality respiratory care in a full-time, 12-hour night shift role.
  • Participate in ongoing education and certification renewal.
  • Maintain safety and compliance standards to ensure patient care excellence.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or certification as Respiratory Therapy Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Current New Mexico licensure as Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • One to three years of respiratory care experience preferred.

Schedule

Full-time, 12-hour night shift.
