Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including but not limited to:
    • Arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
    • Aerosolized medications administration
    • Non-invasive and invasive mechanical ventilation management
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
    • Provide patient and family education on respiratory therapies, equipment use, and disease management
    • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety
    • Stay current with the latest evidence-based practices and participate in continuing education opportunities

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and graduate of a CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board Licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous experience in adult critical care
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Physical Requirements

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range
  • May require sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

  • Minimum hourly: $36.75
  • Maximum hourly: $48.55
