We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team and make a difference in patient care. This is a part-time position (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) with benefits eligibility and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Students within 6 months of graduating from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program are welcome to apply.

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care activities related to respiratory care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within hospital and department guidelines. Independently applies advanced clinical respiratory expertise and scientific knowledge, serving as a resource to others as part of the patient care team. Ensures patient safety by delivering care in an effective, developmentally, and age-appropriate manner while complying with all quality and regulatory requirements and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicates by participating in the exchange of information, including documentation, handoff, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provides education and training about respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to patients, families, students, new employees, and members of the healthcare team, utilizing diverse learning styles.
• Holds self-accountable, seeks continuous learning and feedback, and performs multiple related duties while prioritizing and managing time effectively.
• Performs various diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures according to established standards, procedures, guidelines, and policies. Applies respiratory knowledge and clinical expertise, including assessment, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrates advanced clinical and critical care skills to support additional job responsibilities such as ECMO support, mechanical ventilator support, bronchoscopies, sleep lab, labor and delivery, cardiopulmonary and circulatory rehabilitation, and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Requirements

• Associate degree or completion of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program (required).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• No prior experience required; supervisor experience not required.
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BLS).
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (preferred).
