Role Overview

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings. They deliver individualized patient education, coordinate care with healthcare teams, and participate in staff development and mentoring. The role emphasizes quality patient care, safety, and adherence to evidence-based practices, supporting both patient and family needs across diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, administer therapies, and manage ventilators and airway procedures.
• Educate patients, families, and staff, and assist in invasive and diagnostic procedures.
• Ensure safety, accurate documentation, and compliance with policies.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and quality care.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Certifications: Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT or RCP.
• Experience: 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills.
