Role Overview

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, airway procedures, and patient assessments in critical care settings. They collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized patient care, including aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and invasive/non-invasive procedures.
• Manage ventilators, interpret waveforms, perform airway management, and conduct arterial blood gas analyses.
• Educate patients, families, and support systems; mentor and precept new staff and students.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, electronic documentation, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• Licenses/certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Prof, BLS, and ACLS.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, with a minimum of 6 months in critical care preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills.
