Registered Respiratory Therapist - Full Time Nights

About the role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care to patients of all ages, including procedures such as ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway management.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory treatments
• Interpret diagnostic data
• Operate and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment
• Ensure safety and infection control
• Conduct physical assessments
• Review patient records
• Utilize critical thinking for appropriate interventions
• Maintain and clean equipment
• Communicate effectively with patients
• Adhere to departmental policies

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Texas license in good standing
• NBRC registration
• At least 6 months of experience
• Certification in NRP and PALS required within one year of hire
