Registered Respiratory Therapist - Full Time Nights

About the role

This position involves providing advanced respiratory care in a leading academic medical center, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and specialty teams. The role includes assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating respiratory treatments, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance. The respiratory therapist is expected to apply clinical expertise independently, troubleshoot procedures, and support critical care activities such as ECMO, mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopy, and sleep lab services. They will educate patients, families, and healthcare staff, while demonstrating professionalism and commitment to continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; Bachelor's preferred
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), RRT certification, and Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS) required
• Strong communication, teamwork, and teaching abilities
• Ability to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with clinical judgment
• Experience or comfort with advanced skills like ECMO support and critical care techniques is advantageous
