Per Diem Tier Pay Rate & Commitment Options
- Tier Level 1: $40.15/hour – 3 shifts per 6 week schedule (1 shift must be weekend) – One major holiday per year
- Tier Level 2: $42.00/hour – 6 shifts per 6 week schedule (2 shifts must be weekend) – One major holiday and one minor holiday per year
- Tier Level 3: $43.80/hour – Ten shifts per 6 week schedule (3 shifts must be weekend) – Two major holidays and one minor holiday per year
Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory therapy treatments and pulmonary diagnostic services in an acute care setting
- Perform assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of care across all patient populations
- Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the ordering provider, under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director or manager
- Emphasize assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient
- May on occasion be assigned/identified as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during the shift
Qualifications
- Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- Two (2) years of acute care experience preferred
