Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions.
• Perform advanced cardiopulmonary evaluations.
• Deliver lifesaving therapies and manage ventilators and airways.
• Respond to critical situations.
• Direct respiratory caregivers in delivering patient care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Assess patients for appropriate treatment types and frequencies.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities, evaluate respiratory practices, and administer medications and treatments.
• Perform blood gas puncture and analysis.
• Educate patients and families about illnesses and provide information on community support groups and programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board Licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through American Heart Association (AHA) and/or Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in critical care.
• Bachelor’s Degree.

Physical Requirements

• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range.
• May require sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay

Minimum hourly: $36.75
Maximum hourly: $48.55

The pay range displayed reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as work history, experience, skill set, and education. This range does not include shift differentials, overtime, or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (e.g., healthcare, retirement savings, etc.).
