Registered Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview: Provides routine and advanced respiratory care, manages ventilators, implements cardiorespiratory protocols, and performs advanced airway procedures. Key Responsibilities Assist physicians with bronchoscopy procedures, monitor patient consciousness, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, and administer conscious sedation agents.Initiate and coordinate ventilator management, including advanced airway care such as tracheotomy changes, extubation, and intubation.Operate high-frequency ventilators and deliver Nitric Oxide therapy.Perform NICU-specific tasks like surfactant delivery, intubation, and high-risk delivery attendance.Optional roles include transportation, intubation, and acting as backup charge therapist.Complete other department-specific duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Associate Degree or Diploma in Respiratory Care, with 2-3 years of college coursework.Current New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License, NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential, and BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred.Critical care experience preferred.
