About the role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at CHI St Vincent Health will join an established team of RTs who share a passion for delivering specialized cardiopulmonary care. The role involves assessing and evaluating the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy, making recommendations for changes in specific modes of therapy, educating patients, arranging home respiratory care services, and developing and executing care plans.

Responsibilities

  • Absolutely assess and evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy based on patient’s age, cognitive and physical abilities, and/or developmental needs
  • Make recommendations for changes in specific modes of therapy
  • Educate patients and arrange home respiratory care services and patient therapy follow-up assessments using language and materials appropriate for age, cognitive and physical abilities, and/or developmental needs
  • Assume responsibility for personal and professional growth through participation in department meetings, in-service programs, and continuing education programs
  • Maintain established department policies, procedures, and objectives concerning quality assurance, safety, environmental conditions, and infection control

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy education program, upon hire
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner: AR, upon hire
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist, within 30 Days
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 30 Days

Pay

The posted compensation range of $26.70 - $39.71 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is Night, with a total of 72 hours per week.
