Job Summary

As part of the interdisciplinary team, the RPN is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient/family focused nursing care in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy, policies and standards of care, the College of Nurses (CNO) and all relevant legislation.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse.
  • Current BCLS required.
  • Management of Aggressive Behaviour or equivalent preferred.
  • Certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach preferred.
  • Recent (within the last 5 years) experience within an emergency department is required.

  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to function both independently and as an inter-professional team member in a fast paced demanding environment.

  • Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Hours of Work

There is the expectation that you are available to work weekdays, weekends and all shifts (days, nights, 12 hours). This is a replacement position.
