Registered Nurse RN - Emergency

Department: Emergency Department (ED/ER) – Full Time, Day shift (3×12-hour shifts). Sign-on bonus of $10,000 available for qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and will be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, directing and guiding patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing in Telemetry.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient clinical condition, including diagnostic study results and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
• Ensure knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies and Hospital Social Worker.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate (upon hire and maintained).
• Current ALS certificate (within 30 days of hire and maintained).
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC (within 60 days of hire and maintained).
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Facility-Specific Requirements

• ECRN or MICN certificate required within 12 months of hire and maintained.
• EDAP certified facilities: Completion of required annual education.
• Non-OB facilities: NRP certificate (within 90 days of hire and maintained).
• Trauma designated facilities: Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire and maintained.
• Non-trauma facilities: TNCC preferred.

Pay

Hourly rate: $35.35 to $53.58. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, including wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, falls within this range. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
