Position Overview: The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care in a skilled nursing facility, focusing on long-term support and short-term rehabilitation for a diverse patient population with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-acute needs. Responsibilities: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, assess patient progress, modify goals as needed, oversee therapy assistants and students, document care accurately, and utilize therapy software effectively. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care, ensure safety and confidentiality, and contribute to community health initiatives. Qualifications & Skills Current NBCOT certification and valid state licensure in good standingGraduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communicationStrong interpersonal, decision-making, and body mechanics skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and integrityCPR certification preferred upon hire or obtained during orientation Key Duties Follow established treatment plans to improve patient function and daily living activitiesSet, evaluate, and adjust functional goalsSupervise therapy staff and students, ensuring quality careMaintain accurate, timely documentation and utilize therapy softwareEngage with patients and families to support recovery and well-beingParticipate in emergency procedures and uphold safety standardsAdhere to legal, regulatory, and organizational policies and procedures
