Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)

Role Overview: The Occupational Therapist provides direct rehabilitation care to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting, supporting long-term care and short-term rehabilitation for diverse patient populations with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary needs. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and modify occupational therapy treatment plans aligned with physician referrals and patient goals.Assess patient needs, establish measurable objectives, and evaluate progress.Supervise and evaluate care provided by OT assistants, aides, and students.Maintain accurate and timely documentation and utilize therapy software effectively.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, communicate with patients, families, and support staff to ensure optimal care.Follow all safety, sanitation, and legal guidelines, upholding patient rights and confidentiality.Participate in community health initiatives when appropriate. Qualifications & Skills Certified by NBCOT and licensed/registered in the applicable state.Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT).CPR certification required, with ongoing certification maintained.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and communication skills.Ability to make independent decisions, demonstrate professionalism, and work effectively in a team environment.Physical ability to perform essential functions, including lifting and mobility tasks.New graduates are encouraged to apply; prior experience preferred but not required.
