About the role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional nursing care in accordance with our policies and procedures. You will have all of the training, support, tools, and equipment needed to deliver the highest degree of quality care. Our team of nursing care professionals and mentors—including a Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing, and Administrator—will support you daily.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the clinical care and quality of life of our residents while ensuring all resident rights are protected.
  • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
  • Check residents daily to ensure prescribed treatments are properly administered by nursing personnel and assistants; evaluate their physical and emotional status.
  • Keep the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff, and related matters.
  • Implement recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or Director of Nursing.
  • Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, taking blood, sputum, and urine specimens, etc., following facility policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required record-keeping forms/charts upon a resident’s admission, discharge, or transfer; file in the resident’s chart or forward to the appropriate department.
  • Give and receive nursing reports at the start and end of each shift.
  • Investigate complaints and grievances, making necessary oral or written reports to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nursing.
  • Present a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior, and speech.
  • Adhere to all facility policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • A caring and compassionate personality and demeanor.
  • Leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
