Responsibilities
- Functions under the Administrator of Professional Practice and in collaboration with the Nursing and Medical staff.
- Serves as a clinical resource and consultant for acute and rehabilitative patients with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems.
- Provides the full scope of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) nursing practice, including education, counseling, research, and administration.
Qualifications
- Current NYS RN license.
- BSN required; MS preferred.
- Two to four years of recent, relevant nursing experience.
- Current certification in wound care by WOCNCB (i.e., CWCN, CWON, or CWOCN).
Physical Demands
- Prolonged/frequent standing and walking.
- Ability to assist with patient lifting, moving, and repositioning for physical assessment.
Working Conditions
- Normal hospital environment.
- Potential exposure to body fluids.
- Contact with patients under a variety of circumstances.
Pay
The compensation range for the role is $56.58 – $62.71 hourly.
