Location: Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL
About the Role
40 hours biweekly, day shifts with flexibility, non-exempt status.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in inpatient and outpatient settings, serving as a clinical expert in wound care, high-tech procedures, and specialty skills such as central line and IV consultations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans, involving families and educating patients based on developmental needs.
- Model clinical excellence, support staff, and lead in decision-making, especially during crises.
- Assess, treat, and care for patients across all age groups, adhering to policies, standards, and clinical practices.
- Identify staff learning needs, deliver in-services, and collaborate with educators to enhance competency.
- Work with preceptors and evaluate staff orientation, ensuring successful onboarding.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Nursing program; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Illinois nursing license and Wound Care Certification.
- Minimum four years of clinical experience in medical/surgical nursing; critical care experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
