Registered Nurse - Weekender (Full-Time, Days)

About the Role

The SE Weekender Registered Nurse provides patient care in the Operating Room using the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability, evaluating care effectiveness, and coordinating with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe surgical care across various specialties.
• Participate in training such as Periop 101.
• May cross-train or advance to scrub or First Assist roles.
• Collaborate with preop staff, anesthesia, surgeons, and recovery teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of OR nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN, Diploma, BSN).
• Current RN licensure and BLS certification (or within 30 days of hire).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Proficiency in proper patient positioning, equipment handling, and documentation.
