About the role
The position involves providing compassionate, evidence‑based nursing care for patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and surgeries in a Med Surg Neuro department.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate patient care, ensuring clinical excellence at every bedside.
- Act as a central communication hub among physicians, therapists, and families for seamless recovery.
- Monitor and interpret patient clinical status, proactively identifying changes for rapid intervention.
- Educate and support patients and families through discharge planning for successful transitions.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or a valid multi‑state license.
- BLS certification within 1 month of hire, accepted from AHA or Red Cross.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school or equivalent professional licensure.
