Registered Nurse - Weekend
Role Overview
Responsible for delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and surgeries within a Med Surg Neuro department. Acts as the central coordinator among physicians, therapists, and families to ensure seamless and safe recovery processes. Monitors and interprets patient clinical status with high accuracy, proactively identifying changes to enable rapid intervention. Provides patient and family education, discharge planning, and support to facilitate successful transitions home.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead clinical care ensuring quality and safety at every bedside.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care teams for optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient conditions diligently and interpret clinical data.
- Educate patients and families to empower informed decision-making during recovery and discharge.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current Registered Nurse licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or a valid multi-state license.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent professional licensure.
