About the role

The Caris On-Call Registered Nurse is normally scheduled to work "after hours" on weekdays, Monday through Thursday. The On-Call RN is responsible for the nursing care of patients according to the physician's orders, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total patient care and nursing care plans for each patient.

Responsibilities

• Scheduled to make patient visits each week.
• May resolve some issues by phone, but many "after hours" and/or weekend calls will require an in-person visit.
• Must be available for work-related phone calls throughout scheduled "after hours" and/or weekend work hours.
• Must accept work-related phone calls without allowing them to go to voicemail, unless already assisting a patient or on a call with a patient/family.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation.
• Nursing experience required; experience in Hospice or Home Health preferred.
• Must possess a sound knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and elements of patient/family teaching.

Pay

$73,000 - $80,000 / yearly, depending on experience.
