About the role

Provides direct medical-surgical nursing care, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered treatment in accordance with established policies and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes nursing standards to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, promoting safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Builds effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans.
  • Educates patients and families on health measures to maintain or restore health and comfort.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment, considering physical, social, cultural, and spiritual factors.
  • Applies evidence-based practices tailored to patient age and clinical needs, serving as a role model and mentor to colleagues.
  • Performs clinical duties such as point-of-care testing, while maintaining safety and alertness at all times.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active RN licensure.
  • Minimum of one year of registered nurse experience for float roles or two years for regional float roles.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform necessary clinical tasks.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
