Vascular Access MH & UH

  • Objective: The primary objective of the Vascular Access Team is to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality vascular access for patients requiring intravenous therapy. This includes minimizing complications, reducing the need for repeated needle sticks, and improving overall patient comfort and outcomes.

  • Goals: The Vascular Access Team aims to provide the highest standard of care by ensuring that vascular access procedures are performed with minimal discomfort and maximum safety. All efforts are carried out in conjunction with current standards of practice, with patient safety and vessel health and preservation in mind.

  • Nursing Skills Gained:

    • Sterility Training
    • Ultrasound Assessment
    • Advanced Ultrasound Needling
    • Complications Management

Qualifications

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.

  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Pay

The position is eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus (available through 9/30/2026).
