About the role
Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) is a 25‑bed critical access hospital offering a wide network of specialists and state‑of‑the‑art imaging technology, with full Physical and Occupational Therapy services. AVH is part of North Country Healthcare (NCH), a non‑profit affiliation of four medical facilities in the White Mountains Region of NH that delivers integrated patient care through community hospitals, specialty clinics, and home health and hospice services. All new hires must attend a mandatory three‑day orientation at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH; if Weeks Medical Center is not your designated home base, you are eligible for travel reimbursement per the standard travel policy.
Responsibilities
- Managing individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process
- Collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
- Providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families
- Supervising assigned team members
- Reporting to the Nurse Manager and ultimately the Chief Nursing Officer
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current New Hampshire RN license
- BLS & ACLS certification (PALS preferred)
- Minimum of one‑year work experience as an RN in a medical‑surgical department

Pay
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $41.39/hr - $51.80/hr - $55.94/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's applicable experience, skills, qualifications, and other job‑related factors.
