About the role

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Hospital Float position with experience in IMCU/Stepdown, ICU, or ED. This is a 14‑week travel assignment on night shift. The RN delivers competent nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation) and adheres to professional performance standards including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health.

Responsibilities

• Assess and admit patients
• Perform rounding checks
• Administer medications
• Communicate with family members
• Assume overall responsibility for patient care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality, safe patient outcomes

Requirements

• RN degree – ADN, BSN, or MSN
• Valid RN license to practice in Virginia
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• EPIC experience strongly preferred
• At least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in a hospital setting on IMCU, ICU, or ED (other experience preferred)
