About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care across multiple Mayo Clinic sites, including Arizona, Florida, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. RNs rotate between PCU and Med/Surg units, supporting care coordination, patient and family education, and transitions of care. The role involves supporting contingency staffing across sites and traveling regularly to various locations, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate nursing care within the Nursing Practice Model
- Demonstrate leadership through mentorship, committee participation, and quality improvement
- Delegate tasks based on skill level, patient acuity, and resources
- Maintain excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- At least one year of RN experience in a PCU or ICU setting
- Multi-state RN licensure
- Certification in BLS (mandatory)
Preferred skills
- Experience as a float or traveler
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
