The Transplant Coordinator Nurse is responsible for coordinating care for transplant patients, collaborating with patients, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to assess needs across the care continuum. They provide education to patients and families, interpret patient data, and ensure adherence to standards such as ANA, UNOS, and FACT guidelines. Qualified candidates must have a baccalaureate nursing degree from an accredited program, with at least 1 year of clinical RN experience (3 years preferred). They should demonstrate leadership, strong communication, critical thinking, and adaptability skills. Certification as a Clinical Transplant Coordinator or Nurse is required within three years of hire, with additional specialty certifications as needed. Licensure as an RN and BLS certification are mandatory prior to employment. The role is full-time, nonexempt, with a competitive hourly rate, benefits, and a schedule Monday to Friday during daytime hours. Additional duties include leadership activities, participation in quality improvement, and research initiatives.
