Responsibilities
- Manage shift operations and oversee care quality under the Nurse Manager's guidance.
- Serve as a liaison, communicate unit needs, provide clinical support, assign patients, and assist with admissions and procedures.
- Mentor new staff, participate in performance reviews, and address patient care issues.
- Assess patient and family needs, develop care plans, evaluate care, and adjust as needed to meet diverse needs.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to optimize outcomes, ensuring compliance with the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in nursing and current Kansas RN licensure.
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS for Tele, ICU, and PCU; oncology certification for post-surgery.
- Certifications must be completed within the first year.
Preferred Skills
- One year of recent relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
