Registered Nurse - Telemetry
About the role
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
Responsibilities
- Delivers safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
- Maintains standards of care in Telemetry Unit.
- Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
- Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Certified ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
- Ventilator Management experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Qualifications
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification is preferred.
Skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage ventilators.
- Experience with patient/family teaching.
- Ability to interpret arrhythmias.

Pay
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
Schedule
Shift Per Diem, Nights.
