Registered Nurse - Te Ara Waiora Clinic
Te Ara Waiora Clinic is an innovative healthcare service model focused on providing professional, free, accessible health services for all whānau. Based in the heart of our Flaxmere community in our beautiful, modern clinic in the Flaxmere Village, the service has a mix of Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Health Coaches, and Health Administrators. We work closely with other health and social services at Te Taiwhenua O Heretaunga as well as external providers to help whānau access additional healthcare services they may need.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. Our services are delivered through both our Flaxmere site and mobile Nurse clinics, reaching whānau in local communities and at community events. We are committed to providing professional primary health care services and early intervention to prevent chronic, long-term health conditions.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional primary health care services in clinic and community outreach settings
- Deliver early intervention to prevent chronic, long-term health conditions
- Conduct mobile Nurse clinics in local communities and at community events
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of your mahi
Requirements
- A current Practicing Certificate
- You live in our local community and know the area and the tangata
- Experience working in primary care or community (preferred)
- Experience with diabetes, heart health, immunisations, and sexual health
- Confidence and enthusiasm to provide community outreach clinics
- A current New Zealand full Driver’s Licence
- Ability to speak Te Reo and understand tikanga Māori, or a willingness to learn

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
