Registered Nurse - Surgical Trauma ICU - Full Time - Nights

About the Role

A 20-bed mixed-acuity surgical unit that cares for patients from ICU level through discharge. The unit specializes in surgical and trauma populations, supported by a skilled, evidence-based team that promotes nursing autonomy and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Provide, delegate, supervise, and document compassionate patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team.
• Identify variances from patient goals, propose solutions, and ensure implementation.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire.
• Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certifications that support a culture of nursing excellence.
