Registered Nurse - Surgical/Orthopedic

About the role

Join the Surgical/Orthopedic Unit at Northwest Hospital, part of LifeBridge Health, as a Registered Nurse. This acute care unit provides care for both medical and surgical patients, offering an excellent opportunity to expand clinical knowledge and skills across various surgical specialties, including general surgery, colorectal, orthopedics, bariatric, urology, and others. While the unit accommodates medical patients, it is a non-telemetry unit. You will provide safe, age-appropriate patient care, function as an advisor and resource for patients and their families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

The team is highly motivated, friendly, and outgoing, prioritizing patient care while maintaining strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical interventions, and develop care plans to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, age-appropriate patient care.
• Act as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.
• Assess patient status and implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms.
• Develop and implement patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact State license.
• ADN or BSN required (BSN preferred).
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• Less than one year of experience is acceptable.

Pay

Pay range: $37.15 to $57.58 per hour, based on experience.
