About the Role

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital, located near beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC, treats adolescents, adults, and senior adults in need of psychiatric services, as well as adults who suffer from chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, or require rehabilitation. The hospital offers 24-hour admissions, needs assessment, and referral services.

We are seeking dynamic Nurse Supervisors (RN) for the night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). As a Nurse Supervisor, you will report directly to the Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager, ensuring quality care for psychiatric patients, residents, family members, and all customer groups. This role involves exercising independent judgment in supervising staff, overseeing clinical areas during after-hours, and collaborating with the treatment team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all nursing service staff and handle patient complaints with discretion.
  • Control FTEs and arrange staffing for nursing units based on staffing grids, census, and patient acuity.
  • Work closely with admissions to manage after-hours patient admissions and discharges.
  • Oversee all codes and ensure proper documentation.
  • Keep physicians, Administrator-On-Call (AOC), and the Director of Nursing informed of arising issues.
  • Collaborate with all members of the treatment team to maintain high standards of care.

Requirements

  • Current license in good standing in the State of South Carolina as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing supervisor experience.
  • Management/Leadership experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • CPI Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of ANA nursing standards and Federal/State guidelines and regulatory agencies.
