Registered Nurse - Stepdown and Medical/Surgical, Full Time Nights
Summary
Plans and implements professional nursing care for patients in accordance with hospital policies. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse or Compact state licensure
Unit Description
Patients include both inpatient and outpatient adults and geriatric. (No Pediatrics)
Care team includes Registered Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistants, RN Case Managers, Medical Providers, Nurse Manager, Nurse Educator. PCM and Charge Nurses support clinical needs with access to education, resources, guidelines, and protocols. Electronic medical record is EPIC. Shifts are 12-hour days, Monday through Sunday (24/7), including after hours, weekends, and holidays. Shift starts at 06:38/18:38 and ends at 07:15/19:15. New graduates and experienced nurses are welcome. Staffing ratio is 1:4 Nurse to Patient. Scheduling is every other weekend with holiday group rotation annually.

- Speech and auditory acuity for communication

- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- May involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material
- Able to lift 35 pounds
