About the role

WKH is looking for a mid-shift nurse to join our Emergency Department. Mid-shift hours are fast-paced with a variety of medical emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including physical exams and review of medical history.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• Provide emergency care, monitor vital signs, overall condition, while making necessary adjustments to care as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare team members to ensure proper care of the patient.
• Document care properly and accurately according to WKH policy.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments as well as discharge instructions.

Requirements

• Strong critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills are needed.
• The ability to multitask and prioritize patient care is required.
