Description of Work

This position provides nursing care and leadership to support the health and comfort of residents in a long-term care setting. You will guide daily care, support communication, and ensure that nursing practices meet professional standards. As a Registered Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

  • Resident Care: Provide nursing treatment, monitor conditions, and update care plans based on resident needs
  • Meditation Oversight: Dispense medications, review records, and check that assigned personnel follow proper procedures
  • Team Leadership: Guide staff, assign tasks, and address concerns to maintain safe and effective care
  • Communication Duties: Share important changes with supervisors, physicians, and families as needed
  • Safety Practices: Follow all safety rules, report hazards, and use required protective equipment
  • Documentation Tasks: Maintain accurate records, complete assessments, and support audits and reviews

Work Hours and Additional Information

Full-time employment, 8-hours/day-40-hours/week. Positions are available on the following shifts: 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) with a 30 minute lunch, 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) with a 30 minute lunch. Working every other weekend is required.

Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $93,888.00 (before taxes).

Qualifications, Training & Eligibility

Necessary Special Requirements: This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

  • Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance. A conditional offer of employment may require satisfactory completion of a medical examination.
