Registered Nurse - Warren State Hospital (2nd & 3rd Shift)

Description of Work

• Patient Assessment: Evaluate patient conditions, monitor changes, and respond with appropriate care
• Care Planning: Develop and update treatment plans based on patient needs and nursing standards
• Medical Procedures: Administer medications, perform treatments, and record patient reactions
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate care with interdisciplinary staff to support patient progress
• Crisis Response: Apply approved techniques to address psychiatric or medical emergencies
• Patient Support: Guide patients through daily activities and promote health education

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment
• Work hours: 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) with 30-minute lunch, 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with 30-minute lunch
• Rotating schedule, work weekends and holidays as assigned
• Overtime and travel as needed

Qualifications

• Necessary Special Requirements: Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within one year
• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title
• If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply
• You must be able to perform essential job functions

Legal Requirements

• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act
• A conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance
• A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and a drug screening test
