Registered Nurse - Short Stay Unit

Role: Registered Nurse in the Short Stay Unit, responsible for caring for adult surgical and medical patients requiring brief hospitalization. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and monitor patients post-operatively.Provide discharge teaching and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and case managers.Ensure safe and timely patient transitions through collaboration and communication.Utilize evidence-based practices, electronic health records, and patient education tools.Promote a patient-first, compassionate, and culturally sensitive environment. Qualifications & Skills Current Registered Nurse licensure.Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred.Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.Knowledge of electronic health records and patient education methodologies.
